It was recently a privilege as well as a pleasure to carry out a long road test of a 3.8-litre Mark II Jaguar saloon, after which only one conclusion could be reached, namely, that this is one of the World’s best saloon cars. What justification, if any, is needed for this statement ?
Jan 16, 2018 · ON THE ROAD. In 3.8-litre manual form, the S-Type is more sprightly than its restrained looks might suggest. Jaguar claimed 220bhp from the twin-carbed 3.8-litre XK engine which in manual form translates to 0-60mph in just 10.5 seconds with a quoted maximum of 120mph.

May 22, 2018 · In the process of looking up something, I stumbled into some recaps of the first two UK magazine tests of the new 1962 Mark X, which came only with the 3.8 L XK engine, the 265 hp triple carb version as used in the XK-E. One tested an automatic, the other a manual. The results are not what I or you would have likely expected. From aronline.co.uk
