By October 1909, the Brush (model “D”) had grown to an 80-inch wheelbase with a 10 horsepower engine. While most were runabouts, some were coupes and a select few were roadsters. Tom Sumner, owner of Golden Era Motors in Seattle, Washington and member 258 of the Brush Owners Association, owns a 1910 Brush roadster.

Sep 8, 2000 · The car has wooden axles and frame, and coil springs front and rear. He is also restoring a 1910 Hupmobile. These too were mostly made in the roadster style. It is a slightly larger car with a 4 cylinder engine.<BR> The roadster name is given to any car that is primarilly meant to be a two seater.
Brush Runabout Company factory at 12568 Oakland Ave, Highland Park, MI 48203. The company was founded by Alanson Partridge Brush (February 10, 1878, Michigan – March 6, 1952, Michigan). He was a self-taught prolific designer, working with Henry Leland at Oldsmobile, and went on to help design the original one-cylinder Cadillac engine. [1]
